Copper weave, marble, travertine, onyx, calcite, citrine, and a glass bead.
This mosaic features a void in the middle of the frame, where a separately constructed woven copper wire hanging rests. Around this, the mosaic is an accompanying suggestion of hot, drifting sands or desertscape, swept in long thin shapes by persistent winds. The name "cleopatra" refers to the feminine aspect of the hanging copper, with its warm and arid surround.
