Stained glass mosaic

Mosaic is an ancient art and one that has always interested me. I enjoy employing the methods of the ancient world to create new, modern artworks.
For “Chickadees and Cherry Blossoms” I wanted to recall Asian art and its themes but incorporate something from my own culture-the chickadees.
The curving branches and cherry blossom buds denote Spring and the undulating lines of the sky recall the breeze.
I’m currently working on pieces that portray nature and natural forms. It’s a constant theme of my work.
