Our next juried show, X-Scape.
Landscape / Cityscape / Moonscape /Dreamscape
. Whichever scape turns your crank. It can be representational or abstract, tiny or huge, 2D or 3D, real or imagined! We would like the walls in the gallery to introduce us to an eclectic mix of worlds!
There are no size restrictions (well except it must fit in the gallery) and both two dimensional and three-dimensional entries will be accepted. You may submit up to 3 entries and the entry fee is $25 Canadian.
The deadline for submissions is 8pm EST on June 3rd 2011. The exhibit will run from July 1st to August 4th 2011.

The gallery is located in the beautiful village of Creemore, well known for its vibrant arts community.
Mosaic Art only! There are no material or size restrictions. However, in the interest of showcasing as many artists as possible, there is a maximum of three entries per artist. Of course, all work must be original to the submitting artist. Send us your best!
The Show will run from July 1st through August 4th 2011.
The deadline for submissions is 8pm EST June 3rd 2011
We will confirm our selections on June 6th, 2011
Accepted artwork must be received by June 27th, 2011
Entry Fee: The non-refundable entry fee for up to three pieces is $25 Canadian. Payment can be made by cheque, VISA, Mastercard or PAYPAL when the submission is made. Paypal to suzannesteeves@earthlink.net
Some Specifics:
1. A maximum of three entries per artist.
2. The entry form or an email containing the entry information must be fully complete and submitted with a JPEG of the entire piece. One additional JPEG for each piece showing detail may also be submitted. No more than two pictures per entry. The pictures should be identified with the name of the artist and the title of the work. Please no JPEGS larger than 1200 pixels in any one direction.

4. Artists of the selected works will be required to sign a loan agreement.
If your work is selected:
1. Loan Agreement - Artists of the selected works will be required to sign a loan agreement.
2. Delivery - Shipping to and from the gallery and insurance coverage during shipping is the responsibility of the artist. Artwork must be received in the Gallery by June 27th, 2011. We will accept hand deliveries at the gallery. If shipping, all work should be in reusable boxes or crates. Return shipping and insurance can be prepaid or paid to the gallery if and when return shipping is arranged. Please note, Maplestone Gallery will not be responsible for any loss or damage that occurs during shipping. If you are shipping from outside Canada I will send you an email with specific instructions (to help ensure a smooth transition through customs), in addition we will make arrangements in advance for return shipping.
3. The Art All work must be original to the submitting artist. All work must be delivered ready to hang or display. All work must meet professional standards, be on properly prepared substrates, with finished edges or framing. If your piece requires a pedestal or has other special display requirements these must be included with the art unless otherwise agreed to. In addition, the gallery reserves the right to reject any work that varies from the original submitted pictures.
4.Publicity/Promotion - Maplestone Gallery will have the right to reproduce the images and information supplied by the artist for advertising, promotion and media purposes. In addition the Gallery may take photos of the work for advertising and promotional purposes.
5. Commission - In the event the work is sold during or within 30 days of the last day the work is on exhibit in the gallery (as result of the exhibition), Maplestone Gallery will take a commission of 35%. Payments will be mailed to the artist within 10 business days of the sale of any work. In addition, in the event the artist receives a commission as a result of the work being on exhibit in the gallery the artist agrees to pay the gallery a commission of 30% on the first of any such arrangements.
6. Insurance - While on exhibit in the gallery work will be insured by the Gallery subject to any applicable deductible. However, the artist is responsible for insuring the work during shipping to and from the gallery.
